Anthony Nero SCIBELLI

My artistic life began at home, with my photographer father's extensive collection of artist monographs. Apprenticing in his basement dark room. Learning to print my father's negatives. I attended the Minneapolis College of Art. As a young adult my creative energies were often employed at a very peculiar collective space in the basement of a church, in NYC. in the East Village; called Club 57. Since occupying land in the Forest, I encountered dead animals and human remains; found in the land nearby. Now I return toward painting in watercolour and with gauche. After decades of work with cameras.
