Claire Clifton

Claire Clifton is a local abstract artist, cancer survivor, creator of the reflective journal What If?, and facilitator of immersive paint-throw experiences. Painting since 1998 and exhibiting since 2002, Claire's work explores themes of origin, belonging, identity, and the raw truth of lived experience. Through layers of texture, movement, and intuition, she creates deeply personal works that invite viewers to find echoes of their own stories within them. Working from a place of meditation and embodied expression, Claire allows gesture, rhythm, and instinct to guide the creative process. Her paintings are not simply images but acts of presence—bold declarations of resilience, authenticity, and self-acceptance. Each piece stands as a reminder that every life carries its own unique narrative; one that requires no apology, no explanation, and no permission to be seen.
