Carla Maxwell

Carla came to Art looking for peace of mind, exploring beauty in the every day. Her inspiration comes from who & what she loves around her. Influenced by Kentucky roots, this Appalachian dulcimer playing outsider Artist from Memphis met an Aussie singer songwriter on walkabout, married him in Mississippi. Her paintings depict birds & animals that visit her daily. They are on stretched canvasses in acrylic or oil paint. Her journals are pen & ink, occasionally added to with watercolours. Carla performs in a musical duo “Table Hill” singing & playing a Dulcimer, creating posters out of her paintings/drawings that display her folk art style.
