Leonie Leivenzon
Leonie Leivenzon is a multidisciplinary artist based near Daylesford in regional Victoria. Working across sculpture, assemblage, installation, printmaking and painting, she uses discarded domestic materials, wax, and found objects to examine systems of care, emotional residue, and the unstable construction of personhood. Her practice draws on histories embedded within abandoned everyday objects and the tension between preservation and collapse, repair and failure. Leonie holds a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from Monash University and has exhibited widely across artist-run, regional, and contemporary gallery contexts in Australia. Her practice has been supported through residencies, mentorships, grants, and finalist awards including The Tanks Arts Centre Residency, Memo Review Emerging Art Critics Mentorship, and The Percivals. With a background in medicine and hypnotherapy, her practice is informed by long-term engagement with human behaviour, care systems, listening, embodiment, and emotional structures.
