Our Vision

Daylesford Arts is an artist-led cooperative based in Hepburn Shire, dedicated to supporting and connecting artists and creatives across Daylesford and the surrounding region. Our vision is to foster a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive arts community that values creative practice as an essential part of cultural and community life.

We support artists working across visual arts, craft, performance, writing and interdisciplinary practice, including but not limited to painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, photography, digital media, film, theatre, dance, poetry and fiction.

Through collaboration, advocacy and shared opportunities, Daylesford Arts aims to strengthen connections between artists, audiences, local businesses and government while increasing access to arts and cultural activity within the Shire.

Our goals are to:

  • Create meaningful opportunities for artists and creatives through:

    • Exhibitions

    • Workshops and classes

    • Performances and events

    • Social and networking opportunities

    • Promotion of local creative activity

  • Advocate for a thriving local arts community through:

    • Collaboration with local businesses and organisations

  • Establish a dedicated Arts Hub as a central space for:

    • Exhibitions and performances

    • Workshops and education

We believe the arts play a vital role in shaping connected, resilient and imaginative communities, and we are committed to creating sustainable pathways for artists and creative practice within Hepburn Shire.
