Leonie Leivenzon

Leonie is a multidisciplinary artist with an interest in the complexity of the human experience. She has a background as a GP and Hypnotherapist and a Bachelor and Honours in Fine Art from Monash University. Leonie uses found objects to explore the narratives we hold around things, ourselves and each other. Her process, The Future Histories Project, involves searching through second-hand books for things forgotten inside by previous owners. These books and makeshift bookmarks spark ideas for her art which she develops using paint, textiles, installation, photography or any other medium which best helps her express the idea under examination.
